AN hex bolts are the classic airframe bolt: alloy steel, 125 ksi, cadmium plated, in inch UNF threads. The AN number gives the diameter in sixteenths of an inch (AN4 = 1/4"), and the dash number gives the grip length.
NAS close-tolerance bolts are 160 ksi and fit reamed holes for shear joints. NAS1351/1352 socket head cap screws, MS24693/MS24694 100° countersunk screws and MS51957 pan head screws cover the screw range.
Common AN, MS and NAS sizes in alloy steel and stainless steel are usually available ex-stock in India. Superalloy, titanium and special NAS parts are imported for you from AS9120-certified distributors, with certificate of conformity, mill test reports and full lot traceability.
