When a through-bolt is tightened with a torque tool, the nut or bolt head on the far (passive) side normally has to be held with a second wrench, often by a second person and often in a cramped or unsafe spot.
The HEICO-ONE® Safety Washer sits on the passive side between the nut or bolt head and the clamped part. Its locking ribs on both faces, combined with its wave shape, create a friction and form fit even at low preload, so the passive side cannot turn while the active side is tightened.
It is designed to work with HEICO-LOCK® Reaction Washers on the active side: together they allow tightening and loosening of large bolted joints with access from one side only and without any reaction arm. For hard-to-reach positions it can be pre-assembled.
