HEICO-LOCK® RING LOCK WASHERS
HEICO-LOCK® Ring Lock Washers provide high-quality, user-friendly bolt securing for the most demanding of applications and are ideal for repeated use.
The ring locking system guarantees that the two wedge lock washers are always fastened in the correct position with the wedge shaped cams on the inside and the radial teeth on the outside. This means that the bolt locking system is always easy, safe and quick to install, even for non-specialist users.
DESIGN OF THE RING LOCKING SYSTEM
HEICO-LOCK® Ring Lock Washers are supplied pre-assembled. The ring locking system consists of a polyamide ring (PA) and the already familiar HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock Washers.
- Very easy to install and remove (ring locking system is supplied pre-assembled)
- Whereas the HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock Washers secure the bolted connections reliably,

HEICO-LOCK® WEDGE LOCK NUTS
The HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock Nut is a re-usable one piece design that delivers high quality, user friendly bolt security without the need for seperate fasteners.
The captive and rotary combination of the nut and the original HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Lock Washers makes securing your bolted joints more efficient, effective and easier even under the most extreme vibrations and dynamic loads

HEICO-LOCK® HLK-WASHERS FOR STEEL CONSTRUCTION
The HEICO-LOCK® HLK-Washers offer high quality anti-vibration security for HV sets according to DIN EN 14399-4 and DIN EN 14399-8.
Even under extremes of vibration or severe dynamic loads in steel construction the HEICO-LOCK® HLK-Washers, which are approved by the German Institute for Structural Engineering (DIBt), provide maximum reliability. Due to the increased under head radius of HV bolts, the HEICO-LOCK® HLK-Washers are chamfered on the internal diameter to ensure optimal surface contact while tightening.

HEICO-TEC® TENSION NUT
For a secure joint with a HEICO-TEC® Tension Nut, no electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic tools are needed. All you need is a torque wrench.
The HEICO-TEC® Tension Nut is unique in the fact that the pretension force of the large main thread is distributed to many smaller pressure bolts. Because the pressure bolts are smaller, a conventional torque wrench can be used to achieve the correct pretension force. This eliminates the need for complex, bulky, or heavy tools and makes securing large bolted joints more convenient and easy.
TENSION NUTS ACCORDING TO ISO 898-2
HEICO-TEC® Tension Nuts in strength class 8 and 10 meet all the requirements of ISO 898-2 which enables you to easily replace any hex nut from the same strength class while also offering all the advantages of a hand-tightened nut.

HEICO-TEC® REACTION NUTS
HEICO-TEC® Reaction Nuts are the ideal complement to the HEICO-TEC® Tension Nut for use with through-bolted connections.
If you already enjoy the advantages of HEICO-TEC® Tension Nuts for active pre-tensioning, you need an equivalent reactive nut on the opposite end. Due to their special shape, HEICO-TEC® Reaction Nuts can flex elastically. And the more elastic a bolted joint is, the more durable and secure it is against untightening and loosening.
ADVANTAGES OF THE HEICO-TEC® REACTION NUT:
- Even load distribution through concave contact surface
- Preload losses are effectively reduced
- No additional space is required, tension nuts and reaction nuts have the same dimensions
COMPATIBLE WITH ISO 898-2
HEICO-TEC® Reaction Nuts meet all requirements of ISO 898-2. They therefore have the same strength as conventional hex nuts and can replace them 1:1. However, they must not be used for active pre-tensioning, rather only on the opposite reactive end.
CONSTRUCTION AND FUNCTION
- The nut body (1) is screwed onto the bolt like a conventional nut with the main thread, but is not tightened. Tensioning is performed from the opposite end, e.g. with a HEICO-TEC® Tension Nut.
- Since the nut body only rests on the outer diameter, a hardened washer (2) protects the clamped parts from the contact pressure.
The contact surface of the HEICO-TEC® Reaction Nut is concave and can therefore flex elastically in the direction of the bolt axis. This increases the elasticity of the bolted joint. A short bolted joint is susceptible to fatigue failure and self-loosening. With the HEICO-TEC® Reaction Nut the joint performs like a bolted joint which is 2-3 thread diameters longer and thus more durable and safer. This is accomplished solely by replacing the hex nut with a HEICO-TEC® Reaction Nut!
HEICO-TEC® PROTECTION CAPS
HEICO offers protection caps for all standard series HEICO-TEC® Tension Nuts.
The HEICO-TEC® Protection Caps, made of durable elastomer, protect the entire tension nut from external, aggressive influences during operation. In combination with coated HEICO-TEC® Tension Nuts, they are particularly suitable for use in highly corrosive environments, e.g. offshore.
The HEICO-TEC® Protection Caps are greased before assembly and then easily fit onto the tension nuts.

HEICO-TEC® TENSION BOLT
As with the other HEICO-TEC® mechanical tensioning products, the new HEICO-TEC® Tension Bolts are based on the same functional principle: taking a large bolted joint’s hard-to-manage main thread preload requirement and dividing it into many smaller, easier-to-manage force requirements.
The HEICO-TEC® Tension Bolt's key advantages are accuracy, simplicity, reliability and safety. For example, a worker can tighten/loosen HEICO-TEC® Tension Bolts with simple hand tools instead of other costly and complicated tensioning methods.
HEICO-TEC® Tension Bolts are specifically designed for applications with tight spaces. Compared to a conventional stud + hex nut bolted joint design, the solid, one-piece HEICO-TEC® Tension Bolt requires much less outside diameter and head height space allowances. This one-piece design further simplifies operations and logistics in doing away with the traditional two-piece stud + nut arrangement.
As with the HEICO-TEC® Tension Nut, the HEICO-TEC® Tension Bolt creates torsion-free preloads in the main bolt avoiding the potential for thread damage.
